I roll my eyes but then laugh and pat my mattress so he sits down besides me like usual and doesn't stand around like an awkward school boy.

"Breezy, I don't know either. Maybe I'm just stressed lately, but your reaction genuinely hurt." I tell him and I should have done so straight away, we always could do that before. Maybe I've been replaced by an alien.

"Maybe I've been single for too long and this hit too close to home like...not even my best friend thinks I should get some or feels like he's better than me." I roll my eyes at myself and sigh. "Also, I felt so proud of Lando. He's a really shy kid, you know? He's found a friend in Fab, who's the complete opposite...he kinda just talked at Lando until he replied and then adopted him as a friend." I laugh quietly. "Anyway, I guess he's trying and it's easier online for him. I hope he doesn't worry too much now."

I elbow Breeze lightly, a grin on my face. "Why did you overreact like that anyway? I'd have assumed you'd just play along...to annoy me."
